In 1936, as villages throughout Palestine revolt against British colonial authority, Yusuf finds himself torn between his peaceful rural village and the vibrant, turbulent atmosphere of Jerusalem, yearning for a future free from escalating conflict. Yet, the tides of history are unforgiving. Amid a surge of Jewish immigrants fleeing European antisemitism—some carrying Zionist-colonial intentions—and a united Palestinian population engaged in the longest and most extensive uprising against three decades of British rule, tensions intensify. These converging forces propel all parties toward an unavoidable confrontation, marking a critical turning point for the British Empire and shaping the destiny of the entire region.
