The Wrath of God

Ilija, a member of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO), is stationed in Central Bosnia in late 1993. During a routine mine-laying operation one morning, he receives devastating news: his younger brother Goran has been killed far behind enemy lines, along with eight other soldiers. Through a contact within the secret service, Ilija uncovers that Goran’s mission was unofficial and that he and the others were operating as mercenaries. Driven by grief and a desire for justice, Ilija begins to unravel a complex web of illegal activities involving not only military personnel but also high-ranking government officials. As his investigation intensifies, the danger surrounding him grows, and what initially was a quest for the truth gradually transforms into a relentless, obsessive pursuit of vengeance.
