Tyler Tate, a once-promising actor whose career and life have been derailed by alcoholism, finds himself seeking refuge in a modest motel close to his Ohio hometown after losing both his job and family. Consumed by despair, Tate drifts through a haze of hopelessness until he begins volunteering at a nearby theater. By mentoring a group of at-risk teenagers in acting, he gradually discovers a renewed sense of purpose and envisions a brighter future ahead.
