Murthy, the father of Mukhila and a boat mechanic by profession, discovers the secret love affair between Arul and Mukhila. Enraged, he kidnaps Arul aboard his boat and assaults him brutally, intending to eliminate him so that his daughter’s affection for Arul is severed. During their tumultuous journey at sea, the boat malfunctions, leaving Murthy with his foot caught in the motor.
