Murder in the Building
(2026)Le Crime du 3e étage
Misanthropic novelist François is known for crafting compelling crime fiction—often described as “Agatha Christie meets The Scarlet Pimpernel”—but outside the adventurous world of his Marquis la Rose series, his own life is far from exciting. His partner, Colette, a professor at the Sorbonne and a renowned Hitchcock scholar, grows weary of François lounging around their apartment in his pajamas, longing for the thrill and glamour found in the classic films she teaches. When Colette begins to suspect their charismatic neighbor, a well-known actor, of murdering his wife, their quiet, routine existence is suddenly disrupted. This suspicion not only plunges them into a gripping mystery but also rekindles the passion and vitality in their once-stale relationship.
