Following a scandal involving teenage Maya in a sexually compromising situation, her mother decides to relocate the family back to India to instill proper discipline. Several years later, Maya returns to the United States to secure funding for her app designed for teenagers. To better understand her audience, she takes a position as a substitute high school teacher. However, when the principal unexpectedly assigns her to lead the sex education class—and given that Maya is still a virgin—she embarks on a journey with her best friend to reclaim the high school experiences she missed.
