Maya

Maya, a dedicated physiotherapist in her forties, moves to the UK following a painful divorce and the heartbreak of infertility. She resides with her compassionate aunt Ammu, gradually retreating emotionally and focusing intensely on her work as a means of coping. Her daily life takes a new turn when she begins treating Mahesh, a resilient sixty-year-old Marathi man recuperating from a fracture. Although initially resistant and prickly, Mahesh consents to therapy after his son Siddharth, an optimistic widower and devoted single father, intervenes. As their sessions unfold, Mahesh's inner vulnerabilities come to light, and Maya finds herself saving his life on two separate occasions. Amidst shared feelings of loneliness, a quiet connection develops between Maya and Mahesh. Simultaneously, Maya finds herself increasingly drawn to Siddharth’s warm and caring nature, adding complexity to her emotional landscape.
