As a new school year kicks off at Clearwater High, shapeshifter Carag and his friends—Brandon, Holly, and Lou—face fresh challenges. Before classes start, the Woodwalker Council must determine the truth about Andrew Milling, Carag’s mentor and the guardian of the school: is Milling responsible for attacking humans? Carag finds himself caught in a difficult situation. He aims to prevent Milling’s harmful actions, yet Milling offers him a tempting deal—if Carag stays silent and covers for him before the council, he will be taken to reunite with his true puma family.
