Meadowlarks

The film narrates the journey of four Cree siblings—Connie, Marianne, Gwen, and Anthony—who were separated during their infancy as a result of Canada's infamous Sixties Scoop, a dark chapter where Indigenous children were removed from their families and placed into white adoptive homes. Driven by curiosity and anticipation, yet also grappling with fear and apprehension about possible rejection, the siblings decide to reunite for the first time during a holiday weekend set amidst the scenic mountains of Banff.
